The baseball team is a selected team of eligible student athletes enrolled at LHS. The team will build and develop skills in the game of baseball. Along with developing character traits such as commitment, hard work, responsibility, and dedication to a team environment. These skills and traits will help improve young student athletes in becoming productive members of our community once they leave high school.

Team Schedule:

  • Preseason activity is non mandatory beginning September to February

  • Season begins 2nd the week of February through May

  • Varsity team will play a regular season of 30+ games

  • JV will play a regular season of 20+ games

  • Varsity only will play in May postseason

How and when does one sign up, try out, or join the team?

  • Tryouts will occur in the month of June once the academic school year ends. There will be a school website post sent out to all enrolled students the day and times of tryout. There will also be posts sent out on social media.

Cost?

  • There is no official fee to tryout or join the team. Players will though be involved in fundraising activities throughout the school year to help pay for team apparel and equipment. Players will be responsible to have their own personal equipment that matches and fits the guidelines of the team.
